My opinion about “To the Dearest Intruder”

Someone asked me what my opinion about this drama was and because I seemed to have a lot to say I decided to make a new post about it. To the Dearest Intruder it’s a good drama that deserves to be seen, but I don’t think that everyone will like it. This drama talks about some problems, including couple communication so one needs to have a certain experience that a teenager, for example could see in a totally different way. Well that’s just my opinion and of course every and each of up has a certain way of seeing things and each and every one of say has an individual opinion. I would like to hear what others that seen this drama think about it too. First of all it’s been a while since I’ve finished this drama, but I’ll try to tell you my opinion.
So Shao Qing and Yan Hao made the wrong decision from starters. If they really liked each other, they should’ve told Jia An. Considering how easy Jia An gave Yan Hao the divorce, I think that she would’ve understood that her first love and her best friends like each other and she would’ve wished them all the best. And that it’s why she was upset when she found out ten years later when Shao Qing returned. I have to admit that Yan Hao tried to be honest with Jia An, but he stopped doing that after Shao Qing lift without saying a word. Shao Qing lied herself when she said that she can’t be in a relationship with Yan Hao because she wants to protect Jia An. That’s not the way to protect someone, by giving them false hopes, false happiness, and ten years later return to take it back.

In the end, because Jia An died, Shao Qing felt so guilty that went crazy believing that she is Jia An.
Yan Hao also was wrong to accept Jia An’s marriage proposal. She liked him since she could remember so she mustered up the courage to confess her feelings, but Yan Hao should’ve been honest with her. Maybe they could’ve started by trying to date and if Yan Hao would’ve gave Jia An a chance, he could’ve fall in love with her and be happy. But he didn’t. Yan Hao married Jia An without loving her and then burried himself in work thinking about Shao Qing. After the accident Yan Hao realized that always when he had a bad moment Jia An was there for him, supporting him, giving him strength. Meantime Shao Qing was always next to him on the happy moments. It’s inevitable to compare so Yan Hao, consciously or subconsciously, compare the two women in his live and Jia An won. But…Yan Hao realized who great Jia An was too late and he lost her. You know what people say ” you always realize what you had only after you’ve lost it.”
About Jia An…she fought about her love and her wishes. Unfortunately she didn’t know all the details and accepted making a family with a man that didn’t love her, which made her unhappy. When she found out the truth, Jia An felt disappointed and betrayed by the two most important and beloved people in her live. Still she recovered well. She found the strength to divorce Yan Hao and start her live fresh. She became independent. And when Zhen Lun showed up, personally I was hoping that Jia An and Zhen Lun will fell in love with each other and be happy together.

Still it’s complicated to say which one of them was an intruder in the others relationship. At first, without knowing, Jia An became an intruder between Shao Qing and Yan Hao…well in a matter of saying because Shao Qing and Yan Hao didn’t actually had a relationship. Then Shao Qing really became an intruder, a mistress in Jia An and Yan Hao’s marriage. Shao Qing fought all her live to not be a mistresses daughter, to not become a mistress and in the end her decisions made her be exactly what she feared of becoming.

Think carefully before you make a decision, the best decision for yourself. That has to be the decision that makes you happy so you won’t regret it later when you and others could be more hurt. No matter the situation it’s always best to be honest from the start. The is no lie that will last forever and always people get hurt.
I think that’s about it, but I might have forgot something 😀 (hope not).

I agree with a lot of what you said but have some thoughts that differ. I think YH’s feelings for SQ was just a crush because they were both young. She was different from JA out going and not afraid to speak her mind. He had no idea she was JA’s friend until JA introduced them. I think YH always had feelings for JA but did not understand what real love felt like. I say this because of the conversation he had with the lady at the orphanage referencing his wife’s love of children. Why mention someone you don’t love ? When he says the accident made he wake up I think he realized what he thought was platonic love was something much deeper. What I didn’t understand because it did not seem logical was her going crazy and assuming she was JA. Distorted as it was I found the drama interesting.

Totally agree, Yan Hao’s feelings for Shao Qing were a crush and he thought that he loves her because they didn’t finalized their relationship, they didn’t even had the chance to start it. So I think his love for Shao Qing was more like an illusion. Maybe if he and Shao Qing had a chance their relationship would’ve worked or would’ve failed. Still since they didn’t even started, they both kept thinking about it…the unfinished love that it wasn’t even started.
Well about him not having an idea that Shao Qing was Jia An’s friend don’t know what to say. It could be that Yan Hao felt attracted to Shao Qing at the store they’ve seen each other for the first time, but that same night Jia An introduced them. They spend a lot of time together as a group, all three of them so I suppose Yan Hao and Shao Qing fall in love with each other in that time spend together.
Don’t know if Yan Hao really had always feelings for Jia An. I think that his feelings for Jia An grew after they got married and he saw how much support Jia An gives him. And the accident made Yan Hao realize who was really in his heart.
As for Shao Qing going crazy…she must have suffered a lot that Jia An died, she must have blamed herself that Jia An died. Also Shao Qing never was in her right mind, because of the traumas she suffered while growing up for being a mistress daughter, an illegitimate daughter….
Wooooow, it feels so well to be able to share thought with other people XD

The guy is such a bastard. It just seem to me that he have a fetish for loving third party instead of the one beside him. Once he broke up and get with another girl, he will then love the third party. I think it doesn’t even matter who the gal is. He will like the gal as long as she’s the third party. Sorry but this show just seem so frustrating.

:))) Never thought of this like that, but that it’s your opinion. It’s not that easy as you made it look in your comment. At first Yan Hao liked Jia An as a sister, as someone he grew up with. So when he met Shao Qing, who was the opposite of Jia An, he fell in love with her. He even wanted to tell Jia An the truth. But because Shao Qing left the same day his father died, he didn’t say a word. Then, during the years he was with Jia An, he must have fall for her charms. She was there for him, during good moment and bad moments, she was the first person who supported him and consoled him when he needed it and when he was shot, Jia An once again sacrificed to take care of Yan Hao.
When they divorced and he moved in with Shao Qing, Yan Hao compared the two women and realized that he fell in love with Jia An without wanting too. Of course he didn’t act the way she should’ve and made Jia An suffer. In this whole drama Jia An was the most innocent one, but also the one that suffered the most…betrayed by both her husband and her best friend.
      Well….that’s my opinion 😀
Thanks for leaving a comment XD
