Dong Jin got what he wanted, Mi Yeon’s building. But Mi Yeon was herself. She threatened Dong Jin and even advised Dong Jin to be careful what he will do. Lately Mi Yeon found a family, she has Hyo Seob, five children, a granddaughter, two son-in-laws. She has people who love her and take care of her. But Dong Jin only has Moon Shik. He should make sure Moon Shik will stay by his side. Unfortunately Moon Shik found out that Dong Jin plans to sell Mi Yeon’s building. Moon Shik talk with his father, tries to make Dong Jin understand that his greed will ruin him. Of course Dong Jin doesn’t listen and Moon Shik isn’t as easily to manipulate as before. The only problem is that Moon Shik is caught between Dong Jin and Mi Yeon. He blames himself for what Dong Jin does to Mi Yeon. The one that consoles Moon Shik is Jae Hyung while Hyo Seob wipes Moon Shik’s tears and lets Moon Shik cry in his arms.
Episode 49
Dong Jin is the happiest man in the world. Mi Yeon signed the papers in which she was giving him her building. But when Dong Jin wanted to take the papers, Mi Yeon stopped him. She looked into his eyes and called his name. She made it sure that she is a dementia patient, but she is still Lee Mi Yeon. At first Dong Jin pretended that he doesn’t know anything about Mi Yeon’s illness so Mi Yeon played the recording from the day Dong Jin found out. After that Mi Yeon gave Dong Jin a chose. He should choose what Mi Yeon should do now, should she call the police, should she sue him from fraud or should she contact every law firm she knows and destroy Dong Jin’s life even more.
Mi Yeon:”Even if I’m sick, I’m still Lee Mi Yeon.”
Dong Jin plays hard. He is sure Mi Yeon is too ashamed to reveal her medical condition so she won’t be able to do anything. But Mi Yeon isn’t afraid or ashamed to let people find out. If people find out about her condition it will give Mi Yeon the chance to see which people are by her side and which aren’t.
Mi Yeon:”I’m not alone. The people I tried to protect are, now, protecting me. “
Mi Yeon isn’t feeling well so she gets up and leaves. She let on the table the singed contract. Dong Jin takes the contract believing that Mi Yeon, because of her illness, forgot that she signed it. He takes the contract and follows Mi Yeon. Seeing that she isn’t feeling well, Dong Jin has an idea…if Mi Yeon will disappear for good nothing will happen to him. So Dong Jin heads towards Mi Yeon when two cars suddenly stop. Hyo Seob, Yoo Ha, Sun Ha, Kyung Soo and Jae Hyung came to get her.
Mi Yeon’s family took her home. She is tired and went to rest while Sun Ha and Yoo Ha will prepare diner. Meantime Moon Shik found out about Mi Yeon’s illness and called Hyo Seob.He begged Hyo Seob to tell him that Mi Yeon isn’t sick, that Mi Yeon could get well with surgery. But the only thing Hyo Seob can do is wipe Moon Shik’s tears and console him.
The other family member that needs comfort is Hyun Ha. Since she found out that Mi Yeon is sick, Hyun Ha cries in her room. She likes Mi Yeon’s way, she likes that Mi Yeon used to say everything that was on her mind, she liked that Mi Yeon lived the way Mi Yeon wanted. Hyun Ha used to be proud of Mi Yeon, she didn’t fear anything when she went out with Mi Yeon. But now Hyun Ha is afraid to face Mi Yeon. She doesn’t want to see Mi Yeon changing because of Mi Yeon’s illness. She wants to remember Mi Yeon as Mi Yeon used to be. Mi Yeon heard Hyun Ha talking with Sun Ha and went to console Hyun Ha.
Moon Shik went to Dong Jin. He asked Dong Jin if it is true that Dong Jin plans to sell Mi Yeon’s building. Dong Jin admitted that he intends to do so. Then he tries to manipulate Moon Shik as he always did. He tells Moon Shik that Mi Yeon doesn’t see Moon Shik as he son because she let Moon Shik without inheritance and because she appointed someone else as her legal guardian. But Moon Shik isn’t as easily to manipulate as he used to be. Now he has a family that loves him. Now he has three older sisters and an older brother. Now he has Hyo Seob who was more of a father for Moon Shik than Dong Jin.
After she cried for a while, Hyun Ha decided what to do. She started eating again. Then she went to the store. From now on she will take care of Hyo Seob’s shoe store. The only thing Hyo Seob has to do is make shoes when they get orders.
Jae Hyung sees director Yeon drinking alone. He joins director Yeon and talks to him. When director Yeon gets up, he fell over another person drinking. A fight starts and Jae Hyung get involved while trying to help director Yeon.
Da Yeon came at the police station to get Jae Hyung and her father. But when she saw Jae Hyung and her father with bruises, Da Yeon got into an argument with the men Jae Hyung and director Yeon fought. During the fight, Da Yeon, without wanting, hit one of them. So Jin Hee was called to get out her husband, her daughter and Jae Hyung.
Eun Tae is called in Africa to help the team he was doing volunteer work with. A doctor form that team even returned to Korea to try and convince Eun Tae to go to Africa. Eun Tae wants to go. He wants to help the people there with his medical team. But he doesn’t want to be like his father and abandon Yoo Ha and Eun Soo. Instead of talking it with Yoo Ha, Eun Tae rushes the marriage. When he will be a married man and Eun Soo’s father than he will be forced to stop wavering if he should go or not. That’s want is hurting Yoo Ha. She wants to talk everything with Eun Tae and take decisions together. She doesn’t want Eun Tae to be forced to be with her and Eun Soo. She doesn’t want Eun Tae to use her and Eun Soo as an excuse to not become like his father because Eun Tae is not his father and Yoo Ha isn’t Eun Tae’s sick mother.
Moon Shik is too ashamed to see Mi Yeon. He is depressed so Jae Hyung brings him something to drink. Jae Hyung is worried about him and makes sure that Moon Shik won’t skip his meals. He also asks Moon Shik to comes over to his house after work. Mi Yeon returned there. It’s better for Mi Yeon to stay in a place with many people. That night, when he arrived home, Moon Shik finds Mi Yeon there. She came by to eat with him. Few days ago Hyo Seob had come to eat diner with Moon Shik, but Moon Shik was late and they missed each other. Moon Shik blames himself for Mi Yeon’s hard times, for his father’s problems, for Mi Yeon being forced to pay off Dong Jin’s debts.
Moon Shik:”I’m sorry for being born.”
Eun Tae can’t postpone it anymore. He goes to Yoo Ha and tells her that he has to leave for Africa. He can’t ask Yoo Ha to wait for him, but he can’t also lose Yoo Ha. So finally Eun Tae asks what Yoo Ha’s been waiting for. Eun Tae asked Yoo Ha to go with him. Yoo Ha is willing to share Eun Tae’s dream and do volunteer work with him. The only problem is Eun Soo. The little girls doesn’t want to leave and not see her boyfriend.
Eun Tae:”Will you go with me?”
Hyo Seob calls Moon Shik to his shop. Worried that something happened to Mi Yeon, Moon Shik rushed over, but Hyo Seob calmed him down. Nothing happened to Mi Yeon. They needed to talk and that’s why Hyo Seob called him. First Hyo Seob assured him that it’s not Moon Shik’s fault for whatever Dong Jin does. No one blames Moon Shik so Moon Shik should stop blaming himself. Then Hyo Seob told Moon Shik that Dong Jin didn’t give up his idea of selling Mi Yeon’s building. Recently Dong Jin’s been trying to get information about Mi Yeon from Il Soon. But Mi Yeon already expected him to do so and told Il Soon what to say to Dong Jin.
Moon Shik rushes to Dong Jin’s apartment. When the lift door’s opened, Moon Shik met Dong Jin, who was on his way to sell Mi Yeon’s building. Meantime Mi Yeon was meeting CEO Yang. He’s been telling Mi Yeon about Dong Jin’s plans lately. Also CEO Yang never changed Mi Yeon’s pills with the supplements Dong Jin gave him.
